Overview
- Our main space (drop in desks and memberships) is designed for users who have on average 1-2 hours of calls or meetings per day. We have offices for rent for users whose needs exceed this.
- All drop in passes and memberships have 1.5 hours of credits for the (reservable) Phone Booth #2
- Clean up after yourself, and kindly put things back where you found them. Please wipe surfaces after use. Pretend you are at home, or the gym! We are not here to clean up after you 😉
- We are an automated space. We are not a faceless corporation. We have a fair use policy. We expect all users to treat the space like their home or own business. Respect the space and others around you.
- If you are looking for your invoice, a room reservation or the user guides they can be found in the members portal. You need to be a member or drop in user to access this.
Need Access to The Space?
When you have made and paid for your booking, you will receive a ‘welcome’ email* with more details including the door code. We also have this document for detailed instructions; including the address of the building, and information on how to access the various rooms. *If you booked a resource that ‘requires approval’ please ask us for the welcome email if you did not receive it.
Meetings and Calls.
Here’s your options for taking calls (desk users).
- Your Desk. Short phone calls, or meetings where you mainly listen are ok to take at your desk.
- Lounge/ Kitchen. This is a good place to take calls or meetings, before and after lunch time.
- Phone Booth #1. For ad-hoc shorter calls. This is drop in and not reservable. Please try to limit this room for calls of 30- 45 minutes.
- Conference Room. This room is a backup room for Phone Booth #2 when not available. Please always check the calendar for external bookings first. Please clean surfaces after use.
- Phone Booth #2. For meetings and longer calls. Limit is 1.5 hours per booking, and two hours per day. Use the members portal to reserve.
- Micro Office. This room is a backup room for Phone Booth #2 when not available. Please check the calendar for bookings. Please clean surfaces after use.
- Garden. Has wifi, picnic benches with umbrellas.
Dogs
Yes. We love dogs. We have treats, dog bowls and beds. Your pet however must be as polite and considerate as all the humans. If your dog is reactive, barks at the door or runs around in circles they might have to stay home. Please note: we have (very expensive) artificial turf in our back garden, please ensure you check for accidents before you leave. We prefer your dog to sleep under the desk – like some members after a hard day 🙂
Health Protocol – aka cleaning after yourself
To keep everyone healthy and the space clean, we kindly ask that you wipe your desk clean before you leave for the day. Please ensure all surfaces are cleaned after use.
Socials
If you are joining The Common we expect you are looking for community. We are a social space. We often send out emails to our members to get together for a snack or lunch. If you are a drop in user (day passes, not billed monthly) please ask to be added to the mailing list.
Communications
We use email to communicate with our members and share information around lunches, events, updates, etc. Please ensure to whitelist welcome@thecommon.io.
